Is Ulta Open On Memorial Day 2026? Holiday Hours, Sales, And Shopping Guide

Understanding retail schedules during federal holidays is essential for beauty enthusiasts looking to plan their shopping trips or take advantage of seasonal promotional events. For consumers asking whether Ulta Beauty operates on Memorial Day in 2026, the short answer is yes. Standard store locations across the United States maintain normal operational hours on this holiday, allowing shoppers to purchase cosmetics, skincare, haircare items, and salon services. However, regional variations, mall-specific policies, and altered salon availability can occasionally impact your local store's schedule.

Standard Ulta Beauty Memorial Day Operating Hours

Ulta Beauty corporate policy designates Memorial Day as a standard business day. Unlike major winter holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas—during which the vast majority of retail storefronts remain completely closed—Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of the summer retail season. Most brick-and-mortar retail locations unlock their doors during regular weekday hours, which typically run from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM, depending on the specific market and standalone versus strip-center formatting.

To ensure a seamless shopping experience, review the operational breakdown for Ulta Beauty stores during the Memorial Day 2026 period:

While corporate guidelines mandate standard operating hours, localized deviations do occur. Stores situated within enclosed, traditional shopping malls may be subject to the master lease agreements and operating hours dictated by the mall property management. For instance, if a regional mall establishes shortened Sunday-style hours for Memorial Day, the interior Ulta location must comply with those building-wide mandates, regardless of standalone corporate guidelines.

Navigating the Memorial Day Beauty Sale and Promotions

Memorial Day serves as a major promotional milestone within the retail calendar, sitting strategically between spring clearance events and the massive mid-summer shopping pushes. Consumers visiting Ulta Beauty over the holiday weekend can expect substantial discounts across various prestige and mass-market product categories.

Retail analysts and beauty industry experts note that the late-May holiday kickstarts seasonal transitions. Sun care products, self-tanning regimens, waterproof cosmetics, and summer-friendly fragrance collections take center stage in promotional displays.

• The Gorgeous Hair Care Event: Ulta frequently coordinates or overlaps its major promotional calendar segments around late spring. Shoppers should check for daily beauty steals offering up to 50 percent off top-tier haircare brands.
• Mass Market Buy-One-Get-Ones: Drugstore and mass-market brands (such as NYX, Maybelline, Essence, and SheaMoisture) routinely feature multi-item promotions, including buy-one-get-one-half-off or tiered percentage discounts.
• Gift with Purchase (GWP) Thresholds: Spending a specified monetary amount on qualifying brand purchases often unlocks deluxe sample bags or full-sized hero products, making the holiday weekend an optimal time to maximize loyalty points.

Maximizing these savings requires active membership in the Ultamate Rewards program. Points earned during holiday promotional windows accumulate at standard or accelerated rates depending on active targeted multipliers activated within the mobile application prior to checkout.

The Status of Salon Services at Ulta on Memorial Day

Beyond retail product shelves, every full-format Ulta Beauty location houses a professional salon staffed by licensed stylists, estheticians, and brow artists. Operating hours for the salon differ slightly from the main retail floor, particularly on federal holidays when staffing levels fluctuate based on employee availability and holiday scheduling agreements.

If you plan to book a haircut, color treatment, blowout, or facial service on Memorial Day 2026, keep these operational realities in mind:

Staffing Fluctuations: Because Memorial Day is a federal holiday, individual salon professionals may take scheduled paid time off or operate on reduced shift rosters. It is highly recommended to secure appointments weeks in advance through the Ulta Beauty mobile application or website.

Walk-In Availability: While retail checkout lanes remain fully operational, relying on walk-in salon services on a high-traffic holiday is discouraged. Specialized treatments requiring extensive processing time may not be accommodated if the shift has limited staffing.

Consultation Policies: Chemical services and corrective color treatments still require proper patch testing and formal consultations. Attempting to initiate a complex service on a holiday without prior planning is rarely successful.

How to Verify Local Store Hours Before You Drive

Despite national continuity across the majority of the footprint, relying entirely on general assumptions can occasionally lead to wasted trips. Local municipal codes, severe weather events, unexpected facility maintenance, or regional real estate adjustments can force sudden localized closures or shortened hours.

Utilize these direct verification methods to confirm your local store's exact schedule on Memorial Day 2026:

1. The Official Store Locator: Navigate to the official Ulta Beauty website and utilize the store locator tool. Input your zip code or city to pull up the exact address, phone number, and real-time holiday hours for that specific branch.
2. The Ulta Mobile Application: Download the iOS or Android application. The app syncs with real-time database updates regarding temporary hour modifications or special holiday promotional banners.
3. Direct Telephone Inquiry: Call the specific store location directly before leaving your house. If front-desk associates are busy during peak holiday rushes, listen to the automated phone directory, which is routinely updated with holiday schedule adjustments.
4. Curbside Pickup and Same-Day Delivery: If you prefer not to browse the aisles in person, place an order online using the Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) feature or utilize third-party same-day delivery partners where available. Ensure you receive a ready-for-pickup notification before driving to the location.
